BEAM 2023 is part of Eugene Cultural Services’ Visual Arts Week, Oct. 6-15 and is presented by the City of Eugene, ArtCity and the Eugene SLUG Queens.

BEAM BRiGHT Parade
Start/end at 5th Ave. & Pearl St., Eugene
Oct. 14, 7-8:30 pm
See the best in illuminated human- and
electric-powered art during the BEAM BRiGHT Parade.
PARADE ROUTE
5th to Pearl (south) to 8th, to the Park Blocks and Farmers’ Market Pavilion (judges on corner), then south on Oak to 13th, then High to 5th.
LENGTH
1.5 miles through Downtown Eugene.
THEME
ART iN MOTION, celebrating all that makes Eugene unique, quirky and awe-inspiring.
PARADE CATEGORIES
Marching entries; animal entries; musical entries; unique non-motorized vehicles; and special features, such as puppetry, oversized props, etc.
POWERED BY
All entries must be human-powered or electric-powered. Vehicles of any kind powered by petroleum are not allowed.
SAFETY
For the safety of everyone concerned, parade participants may not hand out, throw, or distribute any materials of any kind to spectators along the parade route.
DEADLINE
Deadline to enter parade: Sept. 22. There is an entry fee, which is nonrefundable.
INSPIRATION
Need inspiration? Make parade hats and illuminated parade lanterns on Friday, OCT. 6, 5:30-8 pm during the Visual Arts Week kick-off event at the Farmers Market Pavilion.
